Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for automotive repair. This role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. License is preferred, minimum 3-year apprentice appreciated.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics on vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various automotive tasks.
- Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Repair or replace defective parts using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow in the shop.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and working around machinery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic is preferred. (License or completed apprenticeship)
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to vehicle systems.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job demands.
- A valid driver's license is preferred.
- Certification from an automotive technology program is a plus but not mandatory.
