Job Summary
The Goldsmith will be responsible for jewellery repairs, resizing, restoration, custom manufacturing, stone setting assistance, and quality control. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in working with precious metals and fine jewellery, possesses strong attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship
Responsibilities
- Perform jewellery repairs, including ring sizing, soldering, chain repairs, clasp replacements, and refinishing.
- Manufacture and assemble custom jewellery pieces according to design specifications.
- Restore and refurbish jewellery to like-new condition.
- Polish, clean, and finish jewellery to a high standard.
- Work with gold, platinum, silver, and other precious metals.
- Assist with stone setting and preparation of jewellery for setting.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure all work meets company standards.
- Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and a clean work environment.
- Accurately assess repair requirements and provide repair recommendations.
- Collaborate with sales staff and management to meet customer expectations and deadlines.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in jewellery repair, fabrication, soldering, polishing, and finishing techniques.
- Experience working with gold, platinum, silver, and precious gemstones.
- Strong understanding of jewellery construction and manufacturing methods.
- Ability to use jewellery-making tools, polishing equipment, laser welders, and other workshop machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Formal jewellery or goldsmithing training is considered an asset.

- Experience with custom jewellery manufacturing.
- Stone setting experience.
- Laser welding experience
- Watch repair experience
Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
