Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Line Cook specializing in Garde Manger to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting cold dishes, salads, charcuterie, and pastas with precision and creativity. This role requires a passion for food presentation, food safety, and delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare cold dishes, including salads, charcuterie boards, appetizers, and pastas according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks related to meal assembly and plating for service
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the garde manger station and storage areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service during busy hours
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients specific to cold preparations and communicate needs for restocking
- Uphold high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation at all times
- Support overall kitchen operations by assisting with other stations as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line cook within a restaurant or food service environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Strong skills in meal preparation, food presentation, and garnishing techniques
- Familiarity with the principles of the food industry related to cold dishes and garnishes
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction when interacting with front-of-house staff or guests
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates willing to learn
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and professionalism
Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
