Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Garden Maintenance Specialist to care for and maintain private residential and cottage properties throughout Muskoka. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on outdoor work, takes pride in well-maintained gardens, and understands the importance of consistent, high-quality property care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular garden and lawn maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, and pruning
- Plant and care for trees, shrubs, perennials, and seasonal flowers
- Complete spring and fall clean-ups
- Apply mulch, fertilizer, and perform general garden care
- Monitor plant health and identify or report any issues
- Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment
- Maintain clean, professional, and well-organized worksites at residential properties
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including working on uneven or waterfront terrain
- Work collaboratively with crew members to meet daily service schedules
Requirements
- Experience in residential garden maintenance or landscaping is preferred but not required
- Physically fit and able to perform an active, outdoor role in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable with physical work, including lifting and carrying materials up to 50 lbs
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Able to work effectively as part of a team while also taking initiative when needed
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
