We’re hiring a Production Cook! We're open to hiring part-time or full time for this position. Please specify your preference when applying for this role.
Duties
- Prepare sauces, breads, desserts and other menu items from scratch
- Perform high-volume daily prep (batch cooking, portioning, labeling)
- Assist with lunch service twice per week (cooking, plating, expediting)
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely
- Monitor inventory and communicate ingredient needs
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards
- Wash dishes, perform cleaning and closing duties as needed
- Follow standardized recipes and maintain product consistency
- Train and support other kitchen staff when required
Experience
- Previous kitchen or production-cook experience (high-volume preferred)
- Familiarity with scratch cooking techniques for sauces, breads, and desserts
- Experience with portion control and batch scaling
- Comfortable using commercial kitchen equipment (ovens, mixers, slicers)
- Ability to work efficiently, stay organized, and meet production deadlines
- Experience working as part of a small, team-oriented kitchen (family-run a plus)
- Eligible to record apprenticeship hours under a Red Seal chef
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
