Assistant Store Manager – $5M+ Location | Calgary North
This is not a typical retail role.
This is a branch leadership position where you are responsible for assisting the team within a $5M+ operation, operating the showroom flow, managing performance, and delivering results.
This is about ownership, not just managing day-to-day activity.
Your Impact
- Lead a high-performing store and drive overall results
- Develop and strengthen a team of up to 20 employees
- Be the Store Managers go-to right hand assistant
- Maintain strong operational execution across all showroom areas
- Deliver a consistent, high-level customer experience

About the Role
You will assist in leading a premium outdoor living showroom specializing in Barbecues, Fireplaces, and Outdoor Furniture.
This branch operates as a full business unit, where you are accountable for team performance, operations, and overall results.
You will be stepping into the role during our busiest time of year, so the ability to learn quickly and lead immediately under pressure is critical.
While the Store Manager is away, you are the Manager on Duty.
You must have weekend availability, however we close at 6pm so your nights are always free!
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Assist with managing the team and daily operations
- Drive sales performance and hit branch targets
- Oversee inventory, merchandising, and store standards
- Train and develop team members
- Handle customer issues and escalations professionally
- Keep operations organized and running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
- Experience leading a team of 10+ employees
- Experience in leading a high-volume operation
- A long-term mindset and aim for growing within.
- Strong leadership, accountability, and ownership mindset
- Ability to stay organized and perform under pressure
- Comfortable taking full responsibility for results
Additional Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Post-secondary education is an asset, but not required
- Experience in a high-ticket or customer-focused sales environment is an asset
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary in the $50K–$58K range
- Quarterly performance bonuses (additional earning opportunity)
