Overview
We are seeking a experienced, friendly and enthusiastic Host/Server to join our Indian Restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional guest services and a strong background in hospitality. As a Host/Server, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout their dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus with enthusiasm
- Take reservations via phone or online, demonstrating professional phone etiquette
- Manage guest seating arrangements and coordinate with the serving staff for smooth service flow
- Assist servers with guest needs, including refilling drinks or delivering special requests
- Operate POS systems such as Micros to process orders and payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving concerns promptly
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient restaurant operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is highly desirable; hotel or hospitality experience is a plus.
- Strong guest services skills with an emphasis on hospitality and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse guests.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS; experience with hotel or restaurant POS systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, along with good phone etiquette.
