Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Technician to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support various accounting functions, including data entry, account reconciliation, and managing financial records using a range of accounting software. Responsibilities
- Perform data entry for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions using software such as ADP, Ceridian, Kronos, UltiPro, and Workday
- Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy of financial records and identify discrepancies for resolution
- Manage bookkeeping tasks including ledger maintenance and transaction recording
- Assist with account analysis and budgeting activities to support financial planning
- Utilize various accounting software tools like Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and UltiPro to process financial data efficiently
- Support payroll processing activities ensuring timely and accurate employee payments
- Conduct regular account reviews to maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
- Prepare reports related to financial transactions and account status for management review
- Prepare project budgets and negotiating pricing and rates for projects
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Workday, PeopleSoft, ADP, Ceridian, Kronos, and UltiPro
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Experience with account reconciliation and account analysis techniques
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to perform math calculations accurately for budgeting and financial analysis purposes
- Familiarity with payroll systems like ADP or Ceridian is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively within the finance team
- Knowledge of financial services industry standards is a plus
