Job Overview
1 year of hands on paid horse care experience required. Must currently live within a 40 min commute to the property. (the property is not on public transportation lines.)
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Stable Hand to join our equestrian facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the health and well-being of our horses, ensuring the cleanliness and safety of stables, and assisting with daily farm operations. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with animals in a dynamic farm environment, contributing to the overall care and management of the stable.
Duties
- Feed, water, and groom horses as needed, ensuring their health and comfort
- Clean stalls, paddocks, and surrounding areas to maintain hygiene and safety standards
- Monitor horses for signs of illness or injury and report concerns to management
- Handle farm machinery for feeding, cleaning, or other operational tasks
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move feed bags, or other supplies
- Support general farm maintenance activities to ensure a safe and efficient environment
Skills
- Safe horse handling and basic farm chores experience requried
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience or familiarity with farm machinery is preferred
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail in horse care and stable maintenance
- Physical stamina to handle long hours of manual labor in outdoor conditions
- Good communication skills for teamwork and reporting horse health concerns
- Passion for working with horses and strong understanding of equine needs
This position requires a hardworking individual committed to our horses welfare and farm operations. Strong prior experience with horses is mandatory; further training will be provided as needed. The role offers a rewarding environment for those passionate about equine care and farm management.

Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
