We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As the first point of contact, you will play a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience by managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements. Your hospitality skills will help set the tone for the restaurant, making every guest feel valued and appreciated.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Provide accurate wait times and communicate effectively with guests regarding their seating status.
- Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, restaurant policies, or special events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations and answering questions as needed.
- Support the restaurant team in various tasks as required to enhance guest satisfaction.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others create memorable dining experiences.
