Steamatic PEI is searching for a full-time Utility Maintenance Worker to join our Stratford office. The responsibilities of this position would include but not limited to: providing professional services in residential homes and commercial properties. Utility Maintenance will be responsible to support restoration and reconstruction teams as required while maintaining safe and efficient work areas, equipment and operations.

General duties of this position would include:
- Perform routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance on power tools, restoration equipment (pumps, compressors, dehumidifiers), and cleaning machinery, ensuring proper operation and safety.
- Carry out minor repairs on equipment, valves, connections, and simple mechanical or electrical systems, following instructions from qualified personnel, to avoid downtime on the job site.
- Detect and, under supervision, repair minor leaks in temporary piping, water connections, or pumping systems that may arise during restoration projects.
- Actively collaborate with carpentry and reconstruction teams, assisting in the preparation, organization, and moving of tools, materials, and equipment (scaffolding, ventilation, pumping systems); and when preparation tasks allow, collaborate with work teams to support restoration and reconstruction operations, always maintaining the company's safety and operational standards.
- Keep a detailed log of tool and equipment inspections, maintenance activities, repairs performed, and operational conditions encountered, reporting issues to management.
- Inspect and maintain order and cleanliness in work areas, including waste disposal and material handling zones, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety procedures.
- Respond quickly to equipment failures, operational problems (leaks, blockages, tool malfunctions) or urgent needs at the job site, minimizing interruptions to reconstruction work.
Requirements for this position would include:
- Experience in utility maintenance.
- Strong work ethic with desire to be part of a team.
- Must have valid driver's license.
Pay is $20-$25/hr depending on experience PLUS overtime pay
