Your future role on our team
BBA has an exciting opportunity for a junior mechanical designer at our Calgary office. This role involves delivering technical expertise and mechanical design requirements within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This role will provide you with a wide range of challenging projects. As an integral part of the project team, you’ll work closely with clients, engineers and other designers to exceed client expectations.

Design and prepare 2D and 3D drawings.

Prepare plant layouts, general arrangement drawings, simple diagrams, dimensional calculations and fabricationdrawings for platework and mechanical equipment.

Participate actively in developing innovative solutions.

Perform other technical duties to support project execution.

Control criteria or standards specific to a given project.

Help more experienced colleagues with more complex tasks.

Participate in worksite surveys, when required.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

College diploma in mechanical design or relevant work experience

Two or more years of mechanical design experience in the industrial sector

Knowledge of current computer applications such as the MS Office Suite

Mandatory: knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks

Asset: Bilingual (English, French)
