Role Overview
We are hiring a Senior Estimator to support pre-construction and bid development for commercial and institutional construction projects. This is a full-time, office-based role within a General Contractor environment, focused on delivering accurate, competitive bids across multiple projects.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of Canadian construction estimating experience
- Must have experience working for a General Contractor (non-negotiable)
- Experience with commercial and/or institutional construction projects
- Proven ability to complete full-cycle estimating (take-offs, pricing, bid submissions)
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and BuildConnect
- Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Solid understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and subcontractor coordination
- Very strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and mathematical skills
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Construction Management (CM) and Design-Build projects
- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) designation
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior estimators
- Post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or estimating
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle bid preparation, including quantity take-offs, pricing, and subcontractor coordination
- Prepare and submit accurate, competitive estimates across multiple projects
- Use Bluebeam and BuildConnect to manage tendering, documentation, and bid tracking
- Maintain and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing databases
- Support RFPs, RFQs, and Design-Build/CM proposals
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and client discussions
- Conduct post-bid reviews and continuous improvement processes
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across all estimating deliverables

Compensation & Benefits
