We are actively recruiting for a current vacancy for the position of a Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) for our Organization in the Grey Bruce area. The CEC plays a key role in advancing the mission of the organization by supporting and strengthening services, education, and research initiatives. Working collaboratively with the team, the Coordinator contributes to the growth, sustainability, and impact of programs across Southwestern Ontario, while maintaining a designated area of focus as outlined in the employment contract.
This role recognizes that strong community partnerships, effective resource development, and engaged volunteers are essential to serving individuals and families within the community. The Community Development Coordinator builds and strengthens relationships with community partners, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and supporters to ensure equitable access to support, education, and resources across the region.

Qualifications
- Post-secondary education and/or a minimum of three (3) years of experience in event management, including budgeting, project management, volunteer coordination, and community partnerships
- Post-secondary education and/or a minimum of three (3) years of fundraising experience, including individual giving, sponsorships, event-based fundraising, and community grant writing
- Post-secondary education and/or a minimum of three (3) years of experience in education and resource mobilization, including workshops, webinars, and conferences
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment at all times
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize a diverse workload
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with donor and client database management systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel, with access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license
- Resourceful, results-oriented, and positive with a “can-do” attitude
Key Accountabilities
- Strengthen existing partnerships and develop new relationships with corporations, healthcare agencies, and service organizations to enhance service delivery and education opportunities
- Increase awareness of the organization as a leading community resource for support, education, and information
- Accurately record all client interactions and relevant information in the database
- Plan and coordinate annual conferences, semi-annual workshops, monthly presentations, and bi-monthly webinars in collaboration with the team
- Support the growth of existing support groups and establish new groups in response to community needs
- Plan and implement fundraising activities to support organizational goals
- Assist in building and collaboratively managing a portfolio of major sponsors and prospects, including prospect research, proposal development, cultivation, and solicitation
- Recruit, train, motivate, and recognize volunteers to support programs and organizational growth
- Participate in annual strategic and operational planning processes
- Ensure adherence to organizational brand standards across all activities and communications
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to enhance the effectiveness of the region and the organization
