Digital Print Operator (Part-Time)

Minuteman Press Sherwood Park is a fast-paced printing and sign production company serving what we truly believe are the best customers in the world. We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Digital Print Operator to join our production team.
Position Overview
The Digital Print Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining high-volume digital printers, wide-format equipment, and a variety of bindery and finishing machines. This role plays a key part in ensuring jobs are produced accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain high-speed digital copiers and printers, using computer systems to process jobs and manage customer files
- Prepare, download, manipulate, and impose customer files for production
- Work with software including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, and other Adobe applications (including plugins)
- Adjust equipment and interfaces to accommodate various paper sizes, weights, and finishing requirements
- Monitor print quality throughout production and keep jobs running smoothly
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, including minor repairs and coordinating service calls with vendors
- Maintain accurate job files and documentation as outlined on work orders
- Operate and maintain wide-format printers and laminators, with an understanding of both rigid and flexible substrates
- Operate a wide range of print shop equipment, including binding, punching, cutting, collating, stitching, drilling, padding, perforating, die-cutting, labeling, and folding machines
- Manage paper and supply inventory to support production needs
Qualifications
- Combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to 3–10 years in digital printing, wide-format printing, signage, and bindery operations
- Strong hands-on experience in a print shop environment, including bindery and signage applications
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; CorelDRAW experience is a definite asset
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
Position Details
- Hours: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week moving to full time.
