Desai Maruszki LLP is looking for a Personal Injury Legal Assistant with 2-3 years experience to join our growing team!
The ideal candidate has experience with Accident Benefits and Tort claims with knowledge of the SABS and the Rules of Civil Procedure, excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and is able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Role Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Daily handlings of scheduling client calls, examinations for discovery, mediations, LAT proceedings;
- Drafting correspondence including but not limited to; clients, medical professionals, Defence counsel, insurance companies and third parties;
- Serving/Exchanging documents with opposing parties;
- Preparation of pleadings, such as: Notice of Examination and Affidavits of Documents and undertaking charts
- Preparing and providing medical briefs to various experts
- Obtaining and serving productions and undertakings
- Provide constant communication between client and team
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
