Overview
We are seeking a skilled Marine Mechanic to join our team and ensure the optimal performance and safety of our marine equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with various tools, and a passion for maintaining and repairing marine engines and systems. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in marine engines, propulsion systems, and related equipment
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on boats and marine machinery
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble engine components and systems
- Conduct system tests to ensure proper operation after repairs or maintenance
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and repairs completed
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Experience
- Proven experience working with marine engines or similar mechanical systems is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc., as well as power tools like drills and grinders
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in boat repair or marine maintenance is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates willing to learn
- Valid driver's license
