Position Summary:
Our growing company is seeking to hire an experienced construction estimator. The successful candidate will need to be able to read, interpret and understand architectural drawings and specifications to provide detailed accurate estimates for division 8 and 10. Applicants must have advanced knowledge in doors, frames and hardware to provide suggestions on cost savings opportunities to our clients.
Position Specific Responsibilities:
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate and competitive tenders.
- Noting any discrepancies and submitting RFI's to the builder for clarification.
- Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for a comprehensive range of products.
- Prepare bid proposals in accordance with company standards and templates.
- Maintain spreadsheets that reflect current market standards.
- Monitor builders project folders/information to ensure all pertinent details are included in the proposal.
- Maintenance of job files and project digital database
Requirements:
- 3-5 years experience Estimating minimum
- 2+ years experience in Hollow Metal Doors, Frames and Hardware
- The ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with confidence
- Self-directed, able to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Technically inclined with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A high degree of competence, reliability, and judgment demonstrated in all aspects of work
- Expert organizational skills and ability to multi-task
