About the role:
At Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler, our service team plays a vital role in creating thoughtful, memorable guest experiences. As a Full Time Chef De Partie , you’ll be responsible for supervising and overseeing the preparation of food items for guest orders ensuring consistent quality.
This role is suitable to someone who has a special talent and passion for ensuring the culinary team delivers the highest of culinary consistently, and ensuring that our food offering is at the center of our guest experience.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, mentor, train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring performance meets cultural and operational standards
- Prepare and cook food to consistent quality following recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
- Set up stations and complete mise en place for all meal periods, planning prep according to demand
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen, including proper use and upkeep of all equipment
- Manage inventory by checking pars, minimizing waste, rotating stock, and properly storing all food items
- Monitor supply levels, report shortages, and return unused items to storage with correct labeling and dating
- Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems
What You’ll Bring
- At least 2 years culinary experience in a similar role.
- Culinary and supervisory experience within a luxury hotel
- A creative flair and bring your personal touch and energy to all our food and beverage experiences
- Culinary education is strongly preferred
- Must be able to obtain a Food Safe certificate.
- Valid work authorization for Canada
