About SHKD Quest
SHKD Quest is a team based, immersive experience built around globally themed rooms. Guests book a session, gather a crew, and play together inside a fully visual environment that brings cities from around the world to life. This summer we open at Holt Renfrew Centre, in the heart of Bloor Yorkville, one of the most recognizable retail addresses in the country.
We are building something new, and we want a creative, dependable person to help the city of Toronto discover it.
The Role
We are seeking a creative and strategic Digital & Social Media Manager to lead our online presence and digital marketing efforts. This role involves managing social media platforms, developing engaging content, and optimizing digital campaigns to enhance brand visibility and drive traffic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing, graphic design, and analytics tools, with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends.
This is a hands on, hybrid role. Half of your time is spent on-site on weekends at Holt Renfrew Centre, filming and photographing live sessions, gathering the moments that make great content, and helping guests have a smooth, joyful visit. The other half is remote, where you plan, edit, post, and grow our channels. You will work closely with the Holt Renfrew Centre marketing team to keep everything aligned.
What You Will Do
On-site content capture and guest experience (weekends at the venue)
- Capture authentic photo and short form video of live sessions, teams reacting, and the energy of the space.
- Welcome and support guests, helping their visit run smoothly from arrival to finish.
- Spot and collect the spontaneous moments and reactions that make the most shareable content.
- Gather guest testimonials, reviews, and user generated content with permission.
Social media management (remote)
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok using tools like Hootsuite and Buffer.
- Plan and manage the content calendar across our primary channels, primarily Instagram and TikTok.
- Edit and publish a steady stream of short form video and photo content, with on brand captions and hashtags.
- Manage community: respond to comments and messages quickly and in our voice.
- Keep a clear, frictionless booking path in every post during the public run.
Growth and coordination
- Support paid social, email, and creator activity, helping turn interest into booked and attended sessions.
- Coordinate with the Holt Renfrew Centre marketing team on shared calendars, assets, and on-site promotion.
- Track simple performance metrics each week and flag what is working so we can do more of it.
Schedule and Location
This is a part-time role of 15-20 hours per week, running from June through September 30, 2026.
- Weekends, on-site: about half of your weekly hours, roughly 7 -10 hours, are spent at Holt Renfrew Centre during weekend sessions, capturing content and supporting guests in person.
- Remote, flexible: the remaining hours are remote and flexible across the week for planning, editing, posting, community management, and reporting.
- You are based in or near Toronto and can reliably be on-site at the venue on weekends.
What You Bring
- Proven experience managing social media accounts, ideally Instagram and TikTok, with a portfolio or sample accounts to share.
- Strong short form content skills: you can shoot and edit engaging video and photo on a phone, quickly and to a high standard.
- A warm, personable presence on-site: you are comfortable around guests and genuinely enjoy helping people have a good time.
- Weekend availability and reliability, since the on-site work happens when sessions run.
- Organized and self directed: you can own the calendar and keep content flowing without daily supervision.
- Good judgment on brand and privacy, including capturing and using content respectfully and with permission.
Nice to Have
- Experience running paid social campaigns on Meta and TikTok.
- Familiarity with email or SMS marketing tools and basic design tools such as Canva.
- Background marketing experiences, events, hospitality, or retail.
- A genuine interest in global cultures and travel, which sits at the heart of our brand.
Why This Role
This is a chance to help launch something fresh from the ground floor, in a premium location, during its first summer.
- Build a standout portfolio of immersive, highly visual content.
- Work at one of Toronto's most prestigious retail addresses and alongside an established marketing team.
- Real ownership of a brand's voice and growth during a meaningful launch window.
- A flexible, hybrid schedule that blends creative remote work with energetic on-site days.
