Patisserie Fleur is a French pasty shop located in Markham that specializes in cakes, desserts and specialty drinks. We are searching for an experienced Cake Artist / Baker to join our team.
The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, is passionate about the food and beverage industry and enjoys working with people. You will be working with our pastry chef to complete day to day production needs and producing products for sale at our retail location.
You will need to be an individual who can work well in a team setting as well as have the ability to complete tasks on your own. You must be familiar with all baking equipment and rudimentary baking techniques.
Job Summary
- Keep track of inventory
- Organize/replenish food display areas
- Masking, piping, assembling cakes (fresh cream and mousse)
- Decorate & slice cakes for retail sale
- Prepare various cake decorations
- Must be able to work on weekends / holidays (if needed)
- Must have a keen eye for quality assurance
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience decorating cakes and working with buttercream/fondant required
- Chocolate experience is an asset
- Able to work quickly and efficiently while performing repetitive tasks
- Able to learn quickly, follow directions, work clean, and be organized
- Heavy lifting may be required

- Food Handler certification required within 1 week of start date
- Weekend (Saturday and Sunday availability only)
