Kruger is seeking a Procurement Data and Systems Specialist to strengthen its sourcing and procurement performance through better data, enhanced sourcing support, and improved system enablement. Based in Montréal, this role will own and continuously improve procurement spend data, including its structure, quality, accuracy, and governance, so Category Managers have the visibility needed to manage their categories and achieve their objectives.
By maintaining a reliable spend database and dashboards, the incumbent will provide hands-on support to sourcing activities, with a focus on MRO-related initiatives. This includes preparing spend baselines and analyses, leading or supporting RFPs, structuring bid comparison and ensuring pricing awarded through bids is accurately captured, validated, and prepared for upload into Kruger’s ERP systems or future eProcurement platform.
The incumbent will also contribute to Kruger’s digital procurement transformation by supporting the development and adoption of a modern sourcing solution. Through collaboration with procurement, site and cross-functional teams, the role will help advance data-driven ways of working, maintain strong governance over price changes and updates, accelerate sourcing execution, and support the successful deployment of a new eProcurement platform.
This position reports to the Director of Procurement Operations, Supply Management.
Procurement Data Enablement and Catalogue Governance
- Manage all spend data by ensuring high-quality and usable data with proper governance across SQL, the Spend Cube, ERPs and the eProcurement platform.
- Coordinate the extraction and merging of all spend data from the ERPs into SQL and Spend Cube.
- Work with automation and AI-enabled tools to categorize spend data to help maintain maximum accuracy.
- Maintain spend dashboards and reporting views to support sourcing, category management and governance.
- Lead catalogue governance for MRO parts, ensuring valid pricing and supplier linkages to coded SKUs.
- Contribute to data quality and integrity initiatives, including data cleansing, duplicate prevention and continuous alignment between systems.
- Leverage spend data to support accurate reporting, spend data analysis and generate sourcing opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of AI-enabled procurement tools by helping define data requirements, validate outputs and support sourcing and spend analysis use cases.
Support Sourcing Activities
- Prepare and execute sourcing events for MRO and other categories using spend sales data and analytics.
- Act as data lead during sourcing events (RFPs) by validating inputs, structuring supplier comparison datasets and ensuring consistency and reliability of analysis.
- Develop expertise in sourcing using SQL and eProcurement technologies to accelerate sourcing efficiency and cycle time.
- Support category directors by providing data-driven insights to refine go-to-market approaches and pricing management.
- Help promote best sourcing practices and knowledge sharing across the procurement community.
Digital Transformation Support
- Support the delivery of digital procurement transformation initiatives, including roadmap development, building technology expertise, implementing new processes and providing training.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (IT, Site Buyers, Finance) to advance data management practices and governance in the new eProcurement platform.
- Help drive adoption of digital procurement tools for sourcing capabilities.
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as IT, data management, supply chain, engineering, or equivalent.
5-8+ years of experience in data analytics, IT support to business, procurement.- Strong experience in data analytics, sourcing practices, automation and AI-enabled tools.
- Advanced knowledge of data management & SQL. Experience with BI tools preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP and JD Edwards procurement ecosystems (Procure to Pay processes, master data).
- Experience with digital procurement platform (i.e. Ivalua, GEP, Coupa).
- Some experience leading initiatives related to data stewardship.
High attention to detail and rigour in data management and validation, with the ability to produce accurate, well-structured and detailed analyses.- High level of autonomy, accountability and judgement.
- Structured, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement using AI-enabled tools.
- Ability to translate data into strategic insights and informed business decisions.

Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written.
Knowledge of English is required for this specific position as Kruger deals with partners across North America and the successful candidate will be required to communicate frequently with them.
