Specific Skills:
Transport materials, processed products, and scrap material through the scrap yard. Sort, stack, and bundle materials. Assist customers with unloading material from vehicles. Weigh and classify each material as directed. Perform other duties to assist processors and machine operators. Feed bailers or use shear to process materials. Keep machines and all work areas tidy. Excellent customer service skills required.
Equipment and machinery used:
Forklift, skid steer, shear, chop saw, bailer (training available).
Weight Handling:
Up to 75 lbs.
Own tools/Equipment:
Steel-toe safety boots
Worksite Environment:
Outdoor conditions, dusty, odors, hot, cold.
Work conditions physical capabilities:
Fast-paced, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, hand-eye co-ordination, standing, walking for extended periods of time.
Personal suitability
Must be a team player, flexible, reliable, and have excellent oral communication skills.
