Main Branch Tree Service is hiring a Ground Worker to support our team of Arborists. This is a hands-on outdoor role assisting with tree pruning and removal while keeping job sites safe, organized, and running smoothly. If you enjoy physical work, being outside, and learning skilled trade work, this is a great opportunity to start a career in Arboriculture.
What You'll Do
● Set up and maintain safe job sites
● Operate the wood chipper and manage brush
● Load trucks and assist with cleanup
● Maintain tools and equipment
● Assist Arborists during tree work
● Work closely with the crew to keep jobs running efficiently
Pay & Benefits
● Starting wage: $25.00/hour
● Overtime: Paid after 8 hours per day
● All required PPE provided
● Paid statutory holidays for full-time employees
Main Branch Tree Service also supports professional development and may cover costs for certifications such as air brake endorsement and ISA certification.
Career Path
This position is designed as an entry point into Arboriculture. Ground Workers are expected to develop their skills with the opportunity to progress into Climbing Arborist roles as experience grows.
Schedule
Typical hours are Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM. During the busy summer season, most days run approximately 9–10 hours. Fridays are optional, depending on workload and employee interest.
