As part of Canada Goose’s Global Internal Audit Team, the IT Auditor will primarily be responsible for independently evaluating the design and effectiveness of Canada Goose’s key IT controls for financial reporting (ICFR) as part of the enterprise SOx 404 assessment. Additionally, this person is expected to develop and execute IT risk-based audits, supporting external audit requirements as well as supporting enterprise risk management activities.

Key Responsibilities:
The IT Auditor will work within the general guidelines provided by the Internal Audit Senior Manager in connection with Canada Goose’s SOx 404 process. The role’s key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Assist the Manager with the development of the annual SOx testing plan.
Planning, performing, and managing field work to evaluate the effectiveness of key IT internal controls for financial reporting (ITGC and Application Controls).
Perform detailed testing to ensure risks are appropriately identified, associated audit procedures are applied, and related controls are designed and operating to mitigate the identified risks. Identify and update the SOx 404 Framework for control and/or testing changes identified through testing.
Documenting and reporting control deficiencies upon discussion with business owners, collaborate with business owners regarding recommendations to address the root cause of issues and report on the status of implementation of management remedial actions.
Participate in cross-functional committees designed to enhance overall governance compliance, program development and continuous process improvements.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the external auditors, advisors and process and control owners.
Keep up to date with changes in regulations, governance and best practices. Continuously review and update testing procedures and templates to ensure any changes in regulations, governance, or best practices are reflected and incorporated into testing.
Monitor changes in business processes, information systems, management and operations, and coordinate with functional staff to ensure ERM is up to date and appropriately reflected in scope of work.
Work with external auditors to ensure audits and related projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Qualified candidates must hold an undergraduate degree in information systems, information technology, accounting/finance, or other relevant program.
3-5 years of public accounting experience, internal audit, IT, or similar experience required.
CISA, CIA, CPA, CISSP, CRISC, or other relevant IT of Information Security designation is required.
Experience in retail, manufacturing and supply chain is an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

Experience in working with COSO and COBIT framework
Experience with Bill 198 and/or SOX certification
Proven project management skills
Outstanding communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; able to influence and engage across the organization by building collaborative relationships with diverse groups
Advance knowledge of MS Office and Excel
ERP experience with MS Dynamics AX or 365 and Wdesk/Workiva an asset
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
Attention to detail in all areas of work

Working Conditions

Office environment
Approximately 20% travel to subsidiaries and third party service providers.
