Currently, we are hiring a Field Supervisor to join our Safety Team based out of Grande Prairie or surrounding areas. Reporting to the HSE Manager, this position involves conducting safety observations and inspections through driver at-work and on-road observations, building and supporting relationships, mentoring drivers and office staff, investigating incidents, managing emergency response, providing compliance management and support, monitoring performance, conducting customer visits and field reviews, and handling public relations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Primary Responsibilities:
- On-call incident & emergency response
- In-field liaison (drivers, customers, public)
- Customer visits/field reviews (route/site assessments)
- Subject expert to mentor drivers/office staff
- Incident investigation
- Driver training assistance and final sign-off
Additional Responsibilities:
- Compliance management/support
- Performance monitoring (speed gauge, overweights)
- Public relations (as required)
- As required
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
The role requires an experienced truck driver with fluid hauling experience who is willing to travel extensively. The successful candidate should be outgoing, personable, and have a strong commitment to safety. They should be responsive, adaptable, and able to make critical decisions on the go. Strong observational and analytical skills are needed for safety inspections and incident investigations. The candidate must also possess mentoring abilities, emergency response management expertise, compliance knowledge, performance monitoring skills, effective communication and customer relations skills, and an understanding of public relations principles. Experience in tractor and trailer maintenance, as well as knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and E-Log use would be beneficial. Must be able to complete and maintain H2S, First Aid & CPR certification.
