What this role is all about:
This key member of the People & Culture Leadership Team (PCLT) builds the strategic vision of the Total Rewards portfolio. Accountable for strategy and execution of a dedicated center of excellence, this role will lead teams that evolve Compensation, Retirement, Benefits and Recognition programs as well as Payroll functions.
As a leader they will build and lead a high-performing, values driven team of total rewards professionals, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities. They will foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning to attract, retain, and motivate top talent
This role will lead teams that focus on the following key areas;
Total Rewards Strategy Development & Evaluation
- Develops the total rewards strategy and philosophy to ensure an innovative, comprehensive and competitive total rewards package pursuant to Beem’s strategic goals
- Evaluates and evolves the programing aligned to Beem’s strategy to be a people first digital first organization that promotes financial wellbeing for all.
Compensation and Retirement Programming
- Strategically designs and manages compensation and retirement programs to attract, motivate and retain key talent and ensures Beem is always in a market competitive position
- Develops and maintains a job levelling framework to support organizational design and ensures the job evaluation process enables innovation, agility and equity for all employees
- Provides expertise and support during diligence processes for mergers and acquisitions
Benefits, Wellbeing and Disability Management
- Leads the evaluation and implementations of programs including Benefits plans and Wellbeing programming
- Oversees disability management practices, including partnering with vendors to ensure employees are treated with respect and compassion
- Ensures Beem’s Health & Safety practices support employee wellbeing
- Evolves Beem’s recognition programing to create an environment that is inclusive and meets the needs of a diverse group
Payroll Administration
- Manage the ongoing disbursement of payroll including applicable source deductions, process incentive payments to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments and manage execution of all year-end reporting and filing in collaboration with Finance
A little about your qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; CCP, CBP designations preferred
- 7+ years HR experience in a mid-size organization, within a leadership capacity
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and drive a total rewards framework that contributes to business success
- An excellent communicator, as well as facilitation skills with a demonstrated ability to present to diverse audiences
- A deep commitment to creating a safe space to drive innovation and scale at pace
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
What you’ll gain:
The salary range for this position is $140, 000 - $175,000
This role is open to remote working arrangements to those residing in British Columbia, Ontario or Alberta.
