The Opportunity
The Accounts Payable Coordinator plays a critical role within our accounting team, ensuring accounts payable and receivable transactions are processed accurately and on time. This is a fast-paced, high-volume position that requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative team member who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in producing accurate work, and is committed to delivering outstanding service both internally and externally. You will work closely with the accounting team to identify discrepancies, improve processes, and support the financial operations of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Code, input, and process invoices
- Manage payment inquiries and vendor communications
- Ensure weekly payment deadlines are met
- Prepare payments including drafts, wires, transfers, cash requests, and ACH payments
- Create and maintain wire templates while verifying beneficiary and banking information
- Manage bank and credit card balances
- Prepare cash position reports and funding requests
- Maintain and organize electronic filing systems
- Process monthly bank charges and prepare bank reconciliations
- Maintain balance sheet accounts including prepaids, deposits, and fixed assets
- Record journal entries and related accounting transactions
- Process accounts payable invoices and associated entries accurately and efficiently
- Respond to vendor and internal accounts payable inquiries
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
What You Bring
We are looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an accounts payable, accounting, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks Online is considered an asset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to prioritize effectively and consistently meet deadlines
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable working in a changing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
