Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. This role involves overseeing project tasks, ensuring quality control, and guiding team members in various construction activities. The Lead Hand will play a crucial role in maintaining safety standards and achieving project goals efficiently.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the construction crew to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide the team in executing tasks accurately.
- Assist with heavy lifting and physical labor as required, ensuring the safe handling of materials.
- Oversee siding installation, drywall application, concrete finishing, and forming processes.
- Train and mentor crew members on the proper use of hand tools and heavy equipment operation.
- Conduct regular inspections of work quality, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers to communicate progress and address any issues that arise on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a construction-related field with skills in siding, drywall, concrete finishing, and restoration.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
- Experience operating heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Proficient in using hand tools relevant to construction tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical work for extended periods.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team towards achieving common goals.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- carpentry: 2 years (preferred)
