Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of food and beverage service, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves mixing drinks, managing POS systems, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, along with excellent time management and multitasking skills. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to ensure a positive experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Manage cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Restock bar supplies as needed, including garnishes, glassware, and beverages
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and ensure safety
- Follow all food safety protocols related to food handling and beverage service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy hours
Experience
- Previous experience in restaurant or food service environments preferred, especially in bartending roles
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Knowledge of basic math for accurate cash handling, change calculation, and drink mixing measurements
- Understanding of food safety standards related to beverage preparation and serving
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly and knowledge of alcohol laws is a plus
