Registered Early Childhood Educators (Few Positions Available)
Job Overview
Growing Tykes Learning Centre is hiring Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) for our new childcare centre, which is expected to potentially open in December.
We are looking for caring, reliable, and dedicated educators who are committed to providing high-quality early learning experiences. The successful candidates will create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports each child's learning and development while building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Successful candidates will begin employment in November and participate in paid training at our Scarborough locations before transitioning to the new centre upon its opening. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new team from the ground up while receiving comprehensive training and support.

The ideal candidates will create nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environments that support each child's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development while building strong partnerships with families.
Growing Tykes Learning Centre may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to assist with the screening of applications during the recruitment process.
Duties
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs that support children's learning and development.
- Create a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Observe, document, and assess children's learning and developmental progress.
- Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with families.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support children with diverse learning needs and implement individualized strategies when required.
- Ensure compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Ministry of Education regulations, and centre policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Complete daily documentation, observations, and administrative records using computer-based systems.
- Work collaboratively as part of a professional team and provide guidance to students or new educators when appropriate.
- Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a licensed child care centre that serves children receiving fee subsidy.
- Strong knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), How Does Learning Happen?, and ELECT.
- Sta
- Experience supporting children with diverse needs is an asset.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable using computers for documentation and communication.
- Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset.
- A valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certificate is required.
- Successful candidates must obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) for Growing Tykes Learning Centre at their own expense.
- A satisfactory medical assessment/form, including required immunization records, must be provided prior to employment.

Pay: $26.50-$27.50 per hour
