Receptionists/Program Support Staff

Office hours at camp run from 8 in the morning until 8 at night. There are two receptionists at Wapomeo, and two receptionists at Ahmek. Each receptionist works a half-day (8am to 2pm and 2pm to 8pm), and cover for the other’s meals. The receptionist is primarily responsible for answering the telephone, recording and passing along messages, sorting the mail and camper e-mail, helping to organize Visitor’s Days, and for keeping order in the office (physical and social).

Answer phones and take clear, detailed messages.
Provide parents with responses to Frequently Asked Questions (Pick up/ Drop off times, mailing address, Visitor’s Day, etc.)
Keep office and surrounding area clean and neat.
Sort incoming camp mail and prepare outgoing mail.
Coordinate work coming into and out of the office (Parent Letters, Bus Tags, E-mails, etc.)
Be familiar and follow through with camp policies regarding camper and staff phone calls and messages.
Pack all office materials and supplies at the end of the season.
These are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be reassigned and other duties may be assigned as required.
Program Support- you have a choice of what area in camp you think you can contribute to in terms of supporting the activity program area. Anything where you think you have something to offer at any one of our Activity Areas!

Qualifications/Job Requirements:
Emergency First Aid or Equivalent and CPR “B”

Compensation varies depending on age and experience. All positions include room, board, laundry and use of facilities.
