Overview
Industrial Rubber Company is a leading provider of industrial rubber products and services to the mining, industrial, and military sectors. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Managerto join our team and play a key role in the daily operations of our business.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple responsibilities, and contributing to the success of a growing company.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Follow up on outstanding accounts.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial records.
- General journal entries relating to bank transactions and general ledger account adjustments, etc.
- Prepare and submit government remittances (HST, payroll deductions, tax instalments, and WCB reports monthly, etc.).
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Coordinate with external accountants and auditors as required and prepare monthly reports and financial statements for their review.
Office Administration
- Manage daily office operations and administrative functions.
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer and supplier inquiries.
- Maintain employee records and support payroll processing including employee benefits, record of employment and T4’s
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and other business documents.
- Support management with various administrative projects.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping and office administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
