Based out of Edmonton
The Construction Supervisor must have a good working knowledge of the residential construction industry and uphold tenant and staff safety while performing all aspects of the project. On average, this position might spend time travelling throughout Alberta and British Columbia.
Skills and Credentials: Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential or commercial construction. Supervisory or team lead experience. Journeyperson Carpentry certification desire. Technical Degree or Gold Seal certificate consider an asset. Knowledgeable in reading and understanding construction plans Strong communication skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions. Willing and able to travel. First Aid, Blueprint reading, Driver License, Leadership training and safety certificates a must.

The focus of this job is act as the primary support for superintendent and foreman.
Job Responsibilities:
Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans. An advanced understanding of all construction trades and techniques. Demonstrated effectiveness in the areas of construction safety and productivity. Commitment to working in a team environment, and good team-building abilities.
Knowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances, legislation and building codes.
Knowledge of carpentry and building maintenance.
Work Site Environment: In and Outdoors. Out of town.
