About the Role
We’re looking for an Accountant to support accounting operations.
The successful candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and motivated to grow their accounting experience in a fast-paced environment. This role will support core accounting functions, month-end and year-end processes, budgeting activities, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating closely with the Finance Department and cross-functional teams.
What You’ll Do
· Perform core accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
· Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, supporting schedules, and working papers.
· Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
· Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and working capital analysis activities, including tracking key financial and operational metrics.
· Analyze financial and operational results, including sales trends, margin variances, and costing information, and provide insights to support business performance.
· Assist with corporate tax working papers, intercompany transactions, and period-end reporting activities.
· Support annual audit processes by coordinating documentation and responding to requests from external auditors and internal stakeholders.
· Help maintain and improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls to support efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
· Collaborate closely with members of the Finance team and cross-functional departments to support organizational objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
What You Bring
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
· Progress toward a CPA designation is considered an asset.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
· Strong systems aptitude with experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Dynamics 365 is strongly preferred.
· A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn, take initiative, and continuously improve processes.
· Sound judgment, professionalism, and accountability in day-to-day responsibilities.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
