Reporting to the Manager, Product Support Sales, this position works closely with the Branch Operations Managers to deliver to the branch territories strategic plan, goals and objectives. This position strives to achieve the assigned and agreed sales goals through effective influence of the sales team. In addition, the incumbent periodically meets with key customer decision makers to demonstrate the organization's commitment to its largest and most critical customers on OEM and Business Partner Related products.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leading and directing the day-to-day sales activities primarily for the construction, forestry & utility market segments under close guidance from the Manager, Product Support Sales, continuously seeking overall territory market share and profitability growth; this includes sales planning & execution.
Engage the PSSR for mining class equipment and/or product support sales representatives and/or service groups when appropriate, to ensure alignment of Company objectives and sales strategies, as well as to deliver a total solution to customers.
Train, coach and develop the PSSR's to understand SMS values and that of our partners, monitor results and manage performance as required.
Work closely with counterparts in the West Regions Sales team to ensure:
Sales goals are met within organization strategies;
Coordination with other organization functions and systems;
Implement corporate initiatives, policies and procedures by proper communication, education and training;
Coordinate and develop packaged deals across multiple product lines, with the Manager, Product Support Sales to achieve maximum support for both OEM and Business Partner related parts and service.
Works closely with to collaborate and coordinate with Manufacturer’s Sales Managers on a continuous basis, to achieve maximum support and sales growth within the region.

The successful candidate requires a solid knowledge, founded in years of experience in the sales profession, on theoretical principles and concepts associated with managing a sales team in a geographic and industry diverse environment. The ability to manage in this environment with focus on customer satisfaction is essential to the success in this position.
A minimum of 5 years of experience within the Construction, Forestry and Utility equipment distribution industry with a strong marketing/sales orientation is required.
Ability to set objectives in a cooperative environment which are realistic but aggressive.
Experience with both Undercarriage and Ground Engaging Tools would be beneficial to the role.
