Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to support carpentry, drywall installation, flooring, and other trades
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to assist with project tasks
- Mix and pour concrete, perform concrete finishing, and assist with masonry or concrete forming activities
- Support installation of cabinets, tiles, flooring, drywall, and other finishing elements
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or excavators when certified and trained
- Follow safety protocols diligently while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Previous construction experience or willingness to learn on the job
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical work, masonry or welding is advantageous but not mandatory
- Valid driver’s license preferred for operating heavy equipment or transporting materials
