Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant’s standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in food preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including stations and utensils
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Assist with plating dishes for service, ensuring presentation meets standards
- Support other kitchen staff as needed during busy periods
- Stock and restock supplies, monitor inventory levels, and communicate shortages or needs to management
- Adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings if required
- Basic knowledge of the food industry trends and customer service principles is a plus
