Lead the development of an application repository for web applications to support health services for British Columbians and provide solutions across various Health Care Authorities.
What you’ll do
Designs and plans the architecture for the application environment, including work in both business clinical systems and database environments.
Carry out in-depth systems analysis; ensure errors/deficiencies are corrected, provide advanced troubleshooting across complex system including support for QA and UAT testing as needed.
Provide technical/system guidance, advice, and consultation. Maintain and build currency in technology/informatics.
Provide system administration and troubleshoots Web, client server and n-tier database issues including performance tuning and security
Drafts policies, procedures and best practices for application deployment and change control.
What you bring
A Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, or Information Systems
Experience with source control management (TFS/VSTS), and with MS Entity Framework 6 and PHP development, operations and maintenance
Demonstrated knowledge of software development methodologies, both waterfall and agile
Broad understanding of change control practices including ITIL
Ability to analyze operational problems and recommend innovative solutions, demonstrating time management skills
Proven ability to execute projects with stringent budgets and timelines
Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and decision making skills
Participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation may be required
