Job Summary

We are currently looking for an experienced and energetic Divisional Controller to manage the accounting operations for our Eastern Division. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory, accounts payable, and purchasing functions at our East Coast facilities, along with providing accurate and timely financial reporting. If you are highly organized and very detail oriented, with a minimum of 3 years in a Controller position, then this posting is for you!

Duties and Responsibilities

Training, supporting, and supervising of the local accounting team
Daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting
Prepare annual budgets and weekly/monthly forecasts
Assist with the maintenance and implementation of internal controls, policies and procedures
Oversee all functions of the divisional general ledger, accounts payable, and production and non-production related purchasing activities
Inventory accounting including inventory management, production costing, production forecasting and analysis
Ensure WIP inventory is accurately tracked and transferred through the production system
Other duties as required

Minimum 5 years of full cycle accounting experience in a high-volume environment, preferably in the manufacturing or related industry, and at least 3 years in a Controller role
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance
Must hold accounting designation
Ability to multi-task and exercise independent judgment
Strong communication skills
Advanced Excel skills
Comfortable in fast-paced and dynamic business environment
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics would be an asset
Public company experience working in IFRS would be an asset
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Security Clearance : Security Clearance may be requested for this position. This position is conditional on a clear criminal record check.

Working Hours: Salaried Position: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. Weekend work may be necessary.
