Embrun Ford is a Community dealership taking care of all our customers automotive needs. We are in a growing area and the dealersip has a need to grow its Parts department to keep up with the demand. We have a great team atmosphere, very positive and professional.
We are looking for an Parts Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and will be able to quickly adapt to changing client needs.
Key Responsibilities Internal Service Counter:
* Assist service technicians and advisors in accurately identifying required parts for repair orders using Ford electronic parts catalogs (EPC).
* Pull requested parts from inventory, organize, and issue them directly to technicians in a timely manner to maintain shop efficiency.
* Ensure all parts, core charges, and shop supplies issued to repair orders are billed accurately through Tekion
* Track special-order parts requests (SOR’s) for technician jobs and notify service advisors immediately upon arrival
*Retail & Wholesale Counter ("Front Counter")* Greet walk-in retail customers and answer incoming phone calls with a high level of professionalism.
* Provide accurate price quotes, verify parts availability, and explain companion parts or related components needed for a complete repair.
* Lookup parts specifications and vehicle options using VIN decoders and electronic catalog systems.
* Process retail sales transactions, take payments (cash, credit, or account billing), and print/email receipts/invoices.
* Serve wholesale customers, taking phone or digital orders from independent repair shops, fleet accounts, and body shops. Inventory, Shipping, & Receiving
* Receive daily parts shipments, verify packing slips against physical inventory scans and restock bin locations.
* Tag, package, and process returned parts, warranty parts, and core returns according to Ford Motor Company guidelines.
* Participate in physical inventory counts, perpetual audits, and bin management to maintain system accuracy.
* Assist in procuring backordered items and coordinate emergency orders or dealer-to-dealer transfers when stock is unavailable
Qualifications & Skills Education:
-High School Diploma or equivalent required; vocational or automotive technical training is a plus.
-Prior automotive parts counter or dealership experience preferred.
-Previous experience with Ford catalog systems (e.g., Ford Microcat / EPC) and dealership software (Tekion) highly preferred.
-Understanding of vehicle components, mechanical systems, and VIN structure.
-Strong communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
-Proficiency with parts lookup software, basic office applications, email software, scanners , printers and point-of-sale terminal navigation.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
-Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
-Ability to lift, push, or pull parts weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
-Fast-paced retail/warehouse environment with exposure to noise, automotive fluids, and moving equipment.
-Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if local delivery assistance is required).
-Safety Oriented while also wearing appropriate PPE when necessary (gloves, safety shoes, etc)

Responsibilities:

- Using our in-house computer software to charge out parts and other parts related functions.
We will provide on-site training and support to ensure the candidate will succeed in this role.
Compensation will increase depending on experience.

Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
