We're excited to invite a Social Content Specialist & Creator to join our team at our Burnaby office.
We are seeking a creative and skilled Social Content Specialist & Creator with an interest in home fashion to enhance our brand's online presence, with a strong emphasis on social media. In this role, you will play a key part in showcasing our vibrant product range and in-store experience through dynamic, engaging digital content. You will collaborate closely with the Marketing team to brainstorm, develop, and execute strategically aligned visual content that resonates with our target audience. Using your video and editing expertise, you will produce high-quality assets tailored for various social platforms and digital channels.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, shoot, edit, and publish videos for use across social media, web channels, and digital ads. Content should reflect QE Home as a leading authority in Canada’s bedding and home textiles industry.
- Maintain a regular schedule of video posts each week, focusing on short-form content for key platforms, while ensuring a presence across other channels as needed.
- Create visually captivating videos that resonate with QE Home’s target audience.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, potentially feature team members in videos, and highlight our retail stores/events.
- Participate in creative photoshoots as required to capture video content, and collaborate with the Creative team for larger-scale video productions.
- Identify and seize opportunities to capture relevant and engaging content, including but not limited to attending and covering company events, activations, and other occasions.
- Have a strong understanding of social media metrics and the ability to leverage them for improving content performance.
- Proactively engage our community on social media through interactions such as comments or post responses to enhance brand presence.
- Help manage social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement of users.
Technical Skills:
- Minimum of 1+ years' experience in video content creation, preferably in a digital marketing or social media role.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, plus a solid grasp of social media marketing principles.
- Ability to identify emerging trends and create engaging content that aligns with QE Home’s brand and resonates within online communities.
- Proficient in video production and editing software ie. Final Cut, CapCut, Canva, etc.
- Available to work full-time in Burnaby, with access to our Greater Vancouver Area stores.
- Flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend work for activations and events.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, project management, and time-management skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of QE Home’s audience, brand values, and style guidelines.
- Self-motivated and driven, with confidence and ease in a creative, unstructured environment.
- Energetic and fun personality, with a natural instinct for design and style, plus strong storytelling and creative abilities.
- Comfortable appearing on camera and/or providing voiceovers
- We also love a good sense of humour!
Bonus Skills ~ Nice to have, but not necessary:
- Familiarity with Later or similar platforms
- Skilled in storytelling through photography, graphic design, and written words.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.

Monday to Friday (subject to change on occasion, depending on events)
