Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Manages the accounting staffs who are responsible for financial reporting, A/P, A/R, GL, payroll, and budget preparation.
· Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations.
· Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
· Develop Business Plans and optimize financial processes in order to drive efficiencies while maintaining a strong compliance culture.
· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
· Work with other departments and direct the preparation in development financial business plan and track/explain variance on an ongoing basis in annual Budget process and financial forecasts.
· Prepare and publish timely weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, analysis and reconciliation’s including recommend corrective action.
· Audits accounts to ensure compliance with regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
· Prepare reports for payroll and bonus.
· Present ongoing outlook in relation to plan and year ago data by category and manage risks and opportunities.
· Provide Financial support for all key Commercial Meetings including Monthly performance reviews, Annual plans, Demand Review meetings.
· Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
· Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
· Support month-end and year-end close processes.
· Manage and comply with federal government reporting requirements and tax fillings.
· Additional controller duties as necessary.
· Must be proficient in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese).
