Job Description
We are seeking a passionate, fluent Bilingual (French/English) Child and Youth Care
Practitioner to join our team in the Sudbury area. In this role, you will provide support in a private
practice capacity, working with children, youth, adolescents, and/or adults with challenging
behaviours.
You will work across a variety of settings, including:
- Client homes and community settings
- The developmental sector
- Residential & day programs

- and Weekend slots.

- Qualifications & Requirements
- When submitting your application, please ensure your resume highlights how you meet the
- following criteria:
- Language: Professional fluency in both French and English (written and verbal) is required.
- Education/Experience: College Diploma or University Degree in a related field (e.g.,
- CYW/CYC) from a recognized public post-secondary institution, or a minimum of 3+ years of
- direct experience working with youth with behavioural challenges.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of paid work experience managing challenging and
- disruptive behaviours (residential, child welfare, hospital, or school settings preferred).
- Specialized Knowledge: Proven experience working in mental health, dual diagnosis,
- FASD, Autism, and the developmental sector across various age groups.
- Transportation & Licensing Requirements: A valid driver’s licence, access to a reliable
- vehicle, and proof of automobile insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 liability coverage
- are required to support the transportation of youth-in-care as needed.
- Certifications (Preferred/Required):
- Vulnerable Sector Police Background Check (issued within the last 6 months)
- Standard First Aid / CPR certification
- Ministry-approved Crisis Intervention training (UMAB, CPI, TCI, or SMART Management).
