Field Labourers
Quantum Industrial Solutions (QIS) — BC
Field-Based | Quesnel, BC
We hire for character — not skill.
At QIS, we believe skill can be trained. Character cannot.
We are looking for Field Labourers who show up with the right mindset: reliable, coachable, safety-minded, hardworking, and ready to take pride in doing the job right. At QIS, we build people, not just crews. Our systems are designed to create a real path from labourer to higher responsibility, leadership, and specialized technical roles.
Who We Are
Quantum Industrial Solutions (QIS) rehabilitates critical infrastructure using specialized industrial techniques. Our field crews work on structures where quality, precision, and safety are non-negotiable — and where the work has to perform for decades.
We are building out our field crew for an upcoming project based in Quesnel, BC. We are looking for experienced industrial labourers and tradespeople who are ready to contribute to a high-performing crew from day one.
The Work
This is hands-on industrial field work on a civil infrastructure project. You will be part of a focused crew performing surface preparation and protective coating operations. The work is physical, detail-oriented, and carried out under strict quality and safety standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Site setup, safe work controls, and jobsite organization
- Surface preparation using hand tools, power tools, and abrasive equipment
- Handling, staging, and supporting the application of industrial coating materials
- Equipment operation, care, and daily maintenance
- Supporting QA/QC checks and field documentation
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions on a rotational schedule
Who We Are Looking For
Our preference is for tradespeople and labourers who have put in real time in the field — people who understand jobsite culture, can operate independently, and know what it means to do quality work under pressure.
Experienced Candidates Will Have
- A background in civil construction, industrial labour, or a related trade
- Experience with surface preparation, protective coatings, abrasive blasting, or lining systems
- Comfort operating and maintaining field equipment — compressors, pumps, spray rigs, hand and power tools
- Solid understanding of jobsite safety practices, safe work plans, and hazard identification
- Experience working in demanding outdoor environments and on rotational schedules
- Tickets in first aid, traffic control, confined space, or fall protection are an asset
Labourers earlier in their career who bring a strong work ethic, a genuine willingness to learn, and a track record of showing up are also encouraged to apply. Character carries weight at QIS.
Non-Negotiable Traits — for Every Applicant
- Reliable and punctual — your crew depends on you
- Safety-minded with zero tolerance for shortcuts
- Accountable, honest, and respectful
- Coachable and willing to work within QIS systems and standards
- Strong work ethic and team-first attitude
Why Join QIS
QIS offers field workers a place to grow, not just work. We have a defined advancement structure — Lead Hand, Apprentice Spray Technician, Spray Technician, Foreman — and we promote based on performance, values, and consistency. People who prove themselves here move up.
What We Offer
- CA$30.00 – CA$45.00/hr based on experience and background
- Living out allowance (LOA) for workers away from home base
