We are seeking an experienced, collaborative Accounting Clerk to take an active role within our established team in Langford, BC. This position involves the responsibility of supporting the transactional processing of our accounting department. The successful candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to multitask effectively in a supportive team environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Specific duties for this position may include:
Accounting
- Reconcile time entry and prepare monthly invoices.
- Complete monthly journal entries.
- Prepares monthly reconciliations of both GL and sub-systems as assigned.
- Provides support to the Accountants and Controller as required.
- Calculates and prepares government remittances.
- Assist with budgeting and monthly financial statements.
- Performing various general accounting duties as they arise
An ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Full Cycle Accounting experience (e.g. analysis and reconciliation of accounts; journal entries; year-end adjusting entries and procedures).
- Bookkeeping/Accounting certificates/diploma, or relevant experience.
- Experience with time tracking software
- High computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Excel, PDF software and basic accounting software.
- General knowledge of accounting through either post-secondary courses or relevant work experience
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience working in an office environment.
- Tact and diplomacy in dealing with confidential information; demonstrated organizational skills in setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and handling multiple tasks effectively.
- General understanding of residential construction
- Resourceful with ability to work and problem-solve independently
- Reliable, punctual and able to maintain sensitive and confidential information

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
