Family owned and operated through five generations, Copp’s Buildall has played a prominent role in the city of London’s building industry for almost 150 years. We have four locations within London and supply to both contractor and retail customers.
We are currently seeking a Credit Manager for our Head Office location to fill an upcoming vacancy.
The Credit Manager plays a central role in protecting the financial health of the business, managing customer credit, collections, and accounts receivable across several locations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of clients' financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess creditworthiness.
- Maintain, apply, and continuously improve credit policies in collaboration with senior management.
- Review customer contracts to ensure compliance with company terms.
- Monitor existing credit accounts for signs of financial distress or increased risk, taking proactive measures as necessary.
- Process customer payments and issue invoices and statements
- Approve or decline credit applications based on comprehensive risk assessments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all credit transactions, assessments, and decisions for audit purposes.
- Provide ongoing training and guidance to staff regarding credit policies, risk management practices, and industry trends.
- Ensure compliance with builders lien legislation
- Interact with customers and internal teams on credit-related matters
Requirements
- Customer service oriented with strong communication skills
- Experience in a construction, building supply, or trade-related industry an asset
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in math
- Ability to perform detailed risk analysis to identify potential issues before they impact the organization.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating across departments
- Sound judgement and decision making ability
- Proficient with Microsoft office
- Basic accounting skills
- 2+ years of experience in a credit, accounts receivable, or related finance role

Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Accounts receivable: 2 years (preferred)
- Credit analysis: 2 years (preferred)
