Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Subway Sandwich Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh sandwiches, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, food safety, and customer interaction within a fast-paced restaurant setting. Prior experience in food service or the food industry is a plus but not required, as training will be provided. The Subway Sandwich Artist plays a vital role in ensuring guests have a positive dining experience by delivering quality food and exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sandwiches and salads according to Subway standards, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Greet customers warmly and assist with menu selections, upselling items when appropriate.
- Operate the POS system accurately for order processing and cash handling using Micros POS or similar systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently, including food preparation, cashiering, and restocking supplies.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and provide correct change to customers.
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed.
- Provide friendly customer service by addressing guest questions or concerns promptly.
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, food handling, or the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar cashiering tools.
- Strong time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper kitchen procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment within a fast-paced restaurant setting.
- Attention to detail in food presentation, cleanliness, and order accuracy.
