Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver/Yard Person to join our team. This role involves operating heavy equipment, managing warehouse distribution tasks, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, mechanical knowledge, and construction experience, ensuring efficient yard operations and safe handling of materials.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts and other machinery to load and unload materials
- Manage warehouse distribution tasks such as order picking and inventory organization using warehouse management systems
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely deliveries
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required for construction or warehouse tasks
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the yard area
- Support order picker operations to fulfill customer orders accurately
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Assist with general construction or maintenance projects on-site as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Valid certification or experience operating forklifts, trucks, and other heavy machinery
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Prior experience with warehouse systems is preferred
- Construction experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety procedures in a warehouse or yard environment
- Ability to operate order pickers and manage inventory accurately
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor throughout the workday
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required

Pay: $16.68-$27.97 per hour
