Job Opportunity: Counsellor (Full-Time or Part-Time)
About La Boussole – The Compass
Our mission is to support survivors of sexual violence (ages 16+) in the Chaleur region through advocacy, specialized services, and collective healing, while fostering systemic change through community education and awareness. Our work is rooted in feminist principles, trauma-informed care, and the eradication of gender-based violence. We are committed to a safe, inclusive, and bilingual environment.
We explicitly recognize that sexual violence disproportionately affects marginalized groups, including cis- and trans-women, 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, Indigenous women, people of colour, immigrant women, sex trade workers, children, and other vulnerable populations. Our advocacy prioritizes the safety and dignity of these lived experiences.
Administrative support is provided to La Boussole – The Compass by the Bathurst Volunteer Centre.
